UTAH: Snowshoeing Stewart Falls

One of our last winter bucket list items was to go snowshoeing. It had been warming up around here so I honestly thought we were not going to be able to get it in this year. But this past week we had a ton of snow so we knew we had to take full advantage of that and go this past weekend. I usually do a lot of research about things and where to go and the best places to go but I didn't have time this week so we just decided to go to a close by place that I had hear of other people going to!
We headed up to the Stewart Falls trail. This was the first time snowshoeing for both of us. When we got up to the trail head there were police officers there that informed Aaron that there was an avalanche warning. But they still let us go so we figured it couldn't be too sketchy. So we decided we should at least try out snowshoeing and the trail and if we felt like it was dangerous, we would turn back.
There were other groups on the trail and it was pretty obvious where to go so we felt safe on the trail. There was only one part where we thought we might be being a liiiiitle bit sketchy. Probably do not recommend going during an avalanche warning again but it is what it is :) the policemen were gone by the time we got back so we figured it couldn't have been too bad.
I don't know what it was about snowshoeing or the trail when it has snowed so much or what but it felt significantly shorter to both of us than the summer hike. We had a ton of fun on the hike and really enjoyed snowshoeing for our first time!
