Ferns and I made a Winter Bucket List to get us to try out some new things and just embrace the incredible state we lived in. I honestly did not think we would accomplish all of them but we did! It felt so good to check them off when we completed an item and we had a ton of fun doing it!

Go Cross Country Skiing
January 1, 2017
For the New Year, we met up with two of Aaron's brothers and went to Sundance to try out cross county skiing. We rented our skis and gear up there because it was more efficient for not having to drive our stuff up there but you can also rent gear from the BYU Outdoor center for cheap. None of us had ever been cross country skiing but it was actually pretty easy when you get the hang of it! we had a ton of fun. We rode down the several trails to the bottom of the resort and road the
Go to the Sundance Film Festival
January 14, 2017
We headed up to Park City during the festival just to check out the scene. It was not nearly as crowded as I expected but it was toward the end of the festival. We just grabbed a bite to eat and cruised the town. We love checking out the photographers up there so it was fun to see some new studios. Next year we will have to actually go see a film!
Go Camping
February 3, 2017
We headed down to Moab for a short weekend getaway. See our post about that trip here. Aaron's brother is the best in the whole world and gave us a tent. We brought a couple of blankets and we were very warm! I slept with both my jackets on but I was still pleasantly surprised with how warm I was for the beginning of February.
Go Star Gazing
February 3, 2017
When we went camping down in Moab, we were pretty far out from any light pollution so even though we didn't stay out too late, we saw tons of stars. We really only know O'Ryans Belt and The Big Dipper so we found those two! We want to learn more constellations in the future.
Make a Meal with our JetBoil
February 4, 2017
For our wedding we were given a JetBoil, we were excited to try it out and see what we could make! We make an egg/hashbrown mix and brought tortillas and taco bell hot sauce to put on our breakfast burritos. We are both easy to please but we LOVED our breakfast. And it was so easy, I couldn't believe it. It seriously heated up so fast and cooked everything so fast. I am so excited to use it again!

Go Sledding
February 18. 2017
We bought sleds on a whim one weekend thinking we would go sledding then but we kept pushing it off. We knew when we headed to Beaver that this was our time to make sure we went sledding this winter. We found a random hill on our way down from skiing and stopped to give it a whirl. Honestly, it didn't work out nearly as good as we could have hoped for. But it was pretty fun.

Go Snowshoeing
February 25, 2017
We went showshoeing for my birthday up to Stewart Falls. It was so beautiful and we had so much fun! You can read about our adventure here _.

Hike to a Frozen Waterfall
February 25, 2017
We decided to combine these two last bucket list items and we saw Stewart falls while we were snowshoeing. It was pretty incredible to see frozen. Especially because we have both done this hike a couple of times in the summer, it is so different. We loved this adventure!
