January 2020

We kicked off January with coming back to Richmond from NYC, being home for a day and then heading to Atlanta to visit one of my best friends and her husband! They just bought a house in Woodstock, GA so it was so fun to see it!

Lauren's birthday was a few days later so it was a semi surprise birthday visit! We had so much fun playing games with them, eating good food, seeing where they live and seeing the Braves Stadium. It was a quick but amazing trip!

We found this spot at the Braves stadium that we would go to every night for fun if we could!

We have been trying to go to the top of the Capitol Building since we got here. It is a running joke for us because we have tried to go like 5 times and it has always been closed. We were so stoked when we finally go to go! It was an amazing view!

Aaron has mastered making (vegetarian) breakfast tacos! Yum!

One night out on the town we went to this outdoor mall and they had heated couches! They were awesome!

A different night on the town going to Cabellas and checking things out.

Random sorta blurry photo of us on a sunday drive :)

We tried a new food place - Soul Taco! It was so good! You can't really tell but I had a mac and cheese quesadilla and hush puppy nachos and Aaron had a catfish taco and fried chicken tacos.

On MLK day, we decided to go to Shenandoah National Park because it was free. We also stopped at Panera on the way because we had a free breakfast sandwich there. Some nice pre hike fuel with a cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich.

We went and hiked Old Rag Mountain. It was beautiful! And so so so cold. When we started it was 27 degrees and we were a little under prepared for that level of cold so the start was somewhat miserable but once we got warmer it was great! There is some bouldering/rock climbing which was so fun!

We have watched a few too many murder mysteries this month hahaha.

We went and tried a French Bakery by us that some friends recommended and it was AMAZING. We got a chocolate croissant and a fig and cheese croissant and both were delicious.

We played games one night on our deck with a view of down town. It got a little cold so we didn't last too long.

So we played on our bed instead :)

Aaron made his best loaf of bread yet! It was incredible!

Aaron with his veneer!

Aaron with his denture practical! He got a 5 (the highest you can get)! He is doing so great at school.
