At the start of July, I got an extra day off and we had the holiday off so we took a long weekend and went exploring some northern beaches. It was really fun to see! It was SO hot but worth it.

First top was Chincoteague Island. We have been wanting to go there to see the wild ponies! We did a few short hikes and saw the ponies out in this field. They were so cute! We saw them far out at first and then when we can back this way we saw them closer up.

The ponies are the little speckles out in the field.

Hike around wildlife loop!

We had lunch out on the beach on Chincoteague island. It was crowded but a nice way to have our PB&J!

Next stop: Bethany beach! The waves were super fun so Aaron has the time of his life body surfing there. The streets around there had a ton of cute shops and it was probably our favorite place we went on the trip!

Next stop: Rehobeth Beach! We stopped to get a lobster roll and explored the cute town!

Aaron's dream come true :)

There were some super cute side streets!

Beach walk at Rehobeth beach!

Then we went to our campsite which was at the DE Seashore State Park. We went on a sunset beach walk, took showers and enjoyed the great spot!

View from our campsite!

We played games at our campsite before we headed to bed. It was a perfect night!

The next day we took the Cape May Ferry and headed from DE to NJ. You just drive your car right on and ride over. It was really fun! We got a nice nap in :)

Then we went to Cape May beach and relaxed. We tried to float with our floaties in the water but they told us that wasn't allowed... lame.

Then we went to Atlantic beach! We just walked the boardwalk and explored a bit. It was a very different scene from our other stops but was fun to see!

Aaron getting crowned as Miss America.

On the way home, we went stopped in Phillie! We saw the Liberty Bell, Betty Ross's house, Benjamin Franklins grave, and some other fun historic sites. Most things were closed due to corona but it was a good time!

We had to stop and get a Phillie cheesesteak and cheese sticks for me :)

We made it back to Richmond for the actual fourth of July. Basically everything was cancelled due to corona. But we went on a bike ride and watched fireworks from our rooftop deck so it was a great day!

Cute flags out on our ride.

Sunset, drinks and otter pops while we watched fireworks happening all over the city. It was so pretty!

Aaron doing some drilling from home...

Aaron started a sourdough starter and has made us the best bread ever. This was his wheat loaf. Delicious.

We found a new view point where we can drive to. So Pretty!

We tried a breakfast place called Early Bird Biscuit. It was UNREAL! I got a veggie sausage egg sandwich and Aaron got a chicken sandwich. We shared a homemade poptart! It was incredible.

We ate them on the road to a hike!

We hiked to Spy Rock! It was so pretty!

There was an incredible view all around!

We walked to Legends Brewery which is across the street from our house one night after school/work. It was really fun!

We had the best view of downtown while we were enjoying our fries!

Lunch walks when Aaron doesn't have work or school are the best!

We started getting more stuff from our garden!

We got quite the haul one day! It is has been super fun!

Aaron watching his bread in the crocpot super closely.

Aaron's mom sent us a package of homegrown tomatoes which was the best surprise!

We tried a new place for Pizza called Pies and Pints - it was unreal! The dough was incredible.

We have been trying to go to a new restaurant when we go out to eat instead of our classics and it was been really fun to try new places around town.

We volunteered one Saturday to do food delivery for folks in an underserved area. It was hot but fun!

One Saturday we decided to go explore the river! We "hiked" out around the rocks until we found a good place to chill. It was awesome! We were basically by ourselves and could swim around and layout but it was pretty hot so we didn't lay out for too long!

Aaron exploring out in the river!

We were stoked to find this spot and can't wait to go back!

Aaron trying out golfing!

We decided to try out our kayaking skills on Chesdin Lake. It was pretty hot since we couldn't get in the nasty lake water but it was really pretty and fun to check out!

Putting Aaron to work :)

Afterward we tried Christians Pizza - The slices were huge and so good! I had the cheese tortilini and pesto sauce slice, Aaron tried the chicken and pesto and we shared the cheese. It was so delicious. We ate it outside on and watched the action happening around us! It was great!

Aaron has been working at Northside Dental Co and loving it! They are a new start up dental office in town and he has learned a ton about starting and working in a general practice.

July was a really fun month that went way too fast!
