We went disc golfing a few times!

Addy and Cody came down from Stafford and we went to a light up boat parade and then they came to our house to make gingerbread houses!

Celebrating the end of Aaron's semester with trying out the Proper Pie Co. and eating it with a view of downtown. We were wimps and too cold to get out so we ate in the car.

Trying out a new place in Richmond and got their happy hour for some cheap sushi! It was incredible.

We went up to DC with Addy and Cody to check out some of the lights. It was pretty cold but it was fun to see! This is the tree behind the white house with the Washington Monument in the back!

We love the lights in Richmond during the holidays! They light up the downtown building on both sides of the river. We also love to go to the Tacky Light Tour and check out all the fun super lighted up houses around town.

We went to a new light festival this year on Browns Island.

The wrapped all the trees around the island in lights and it looked so pretty!

Aaron finished his semester mid December and since I can work from anywhere, we headed to California to spend two weeks with family. For the first part of the trip, Adam and his boys and Dana and her family and Mike were all at the house with us. It was tons of fun to have everyone there!

We took a few days to drive up to Santa Maria to meet up with my mom and grandpa! One day we went to see the elephant seals!

We went to Monata de Oro and it was so so pretty! It was freezing but we had fun hiking around.

We met up with them in Santa Barbara and explored around there! It was so fun to explore. We are lucky we could drive to come visit my mom and grandpa and aunts and uncles. It was a really fun trip!

On the way back we got tacos from the show Taco Chronicles in LA and it was delicious! There is no outdoor seating in CA so we ate on the back of the car, Aaron's favorite :)

When we got back from Santa Maria, we went to explore some areas in Southern California to see if we might want to live there. We even went to the beach! It was a fun day exploring the areas.

December was a busy month! It was so fun to be able to go visit family and spend Christmas with so many people. We are lucky that we are able to visit and that I work remotely!
