Welcome to 2021!

ree

On the first day of the year, we flew back home from CA to Richmond. We had an unusually long layover in Dallas which was lame but with Corona flights there aren't the best options :)

ree

Aaron wears a mask all day every day but since I work from home the flying was the longest I had to wear a mask straight!

ree

The next day Addy and Cody came down to Richmond and we played some pickleball even though it was cold and rainy. Addy and Cody always work us.

ree

Cold Stone break! We pick up Cold Stone with a coupon we had and ate it with a view of the river since it is too cold these days to get out!

ree

Night walk to the city view to get me out of the house during the week so I don't go crazy :)

ree

Date night to get a drink and appetizer at a new brewery near our house. The food was so good!

ree

Then we went to check out some baby clothes for this cute baby girl!

ree

Sunday walk around the river on a nicer day!

ree

We went up to Addy and Codys for some food and games!

ree

The best days are when Aaron brings me Hot cheetos back from school.

ree

Aaron usually just has class and not clinic on Wednesdays so he can hang out with me. I can sometimes convince him to go on my daily walk with me if it isn't too cold and our schedules match up. It is fun to be coworkers for a day.

ree

Aaron loved the food at that brewery so much he went back with a friend to get tacos. Yum!

ree

Our gym at our apartment closed and we have been doing home workouts for a lot of the year due to corona so we decided to join the VCU gym. Aaron gets in for free for being a dental student so it was a decent deal for both of us. It has been fun to go together in the morning. We have been working out together and then Aaron goes to shower and heads to school while I ride the bike or walk or something to do my morning social media check :)

ree

Post gym Aaron heading out with his breakfast.

ree

Our biggest adventure of the month was going to Crystal River, FL to see all the manatees! It was so so so amazing!

ree

We slept in our car the first night and as you can see, it went pretty well. Last time we slept in our it was the summer and much more miserable. We just bundled up this time and it worked out pretty good!

ree

We stopped in Jacksonville, FL for some free breakfast. Gotta love coupons.

ree

First day we went to the Sanctuary where you can see the Manatees from a boardwalk above the spring. There were so many! It was crazy and so amazing! We had a ton of fun walking around there.

ree

We went up to the gulf beach and it was freezing but really pretty. We relaxed for a little while before being too cold.

ree

That night we got Little Cesars with a view of the springs. Perfect way to end the day!

ree

The next day we went Kayaking with the manatees!

ree

We saw so so so many! They swam right up next to you. We even had this little guy who just hung out with us for like 10 minutes. He wanted to be pet :) You are allowed to touch them with one hand.

We were nervous we would be cold but it ended up being the perfect temperature.

ree

We did some other adventuring around Crystal River. It was super beautiful!

ree

We stopped in Hilton Head on our way back to check it out and loved it! The beach was pretty chilly but it was still really pretty.

ree

Such big beautiful beaches there!

ree

On the way home we also stopped at a fruit stand in Fl to get some Honeybell oranges and some other fruit that we have no clue what it is. But it was delicious and the guy who gave it to us was very nice.

ree

When we came back Aaron started his Triathlon training. He signed up for one in May!

ree

ree

He is having fun building up his swimming, running and biking skills!

ree

And I go to the gym and run an 11 minute mile with this 20 week baby :)

ree

We got to have our 20 week ultrasound this month! Baby girl wasn't being the most cooperative so we didn't get the best pics but they said she seems healthy and doing good! 14 ounces already!

ree

Aaron is an ambassador for Shared Practices at his school and gave a presentation this month for all the students. He had over 80 RSVPS and 44 people attend which was amazing! We did some practice run throughs.

ree

And then he had the real thing which went great!

ree

Another Wednesday with Aaron home from school but I couldn't get home to go on a walk with me so this is what I came home to :)

ree

Date night adventure to get some breadsticks and Aaron testing out some new drinks. I looooved the breadsticks or the baby loved the breadsticks too much.

ree

We also cruised around the VMFA. Aaron and I each picked out an exhibit to explore. It was such a fun night!

ree

ree

We got some snow here in Richmond on the last day of the month! We woke up to a fun little snow globe. We we went on a walk in the morning to check it out. It was so pretty!
